About the Therapist
I’m Elise Wilkins, a recently graduated Occupational Therapy (Honours) student at Griffith University, previously working as an Allied Health Assistant at ICONIC Allied Health under the supervision of Michelle Vincent and the ICONIC OT Team. I have gained experience in paediatric and community settings through placements at ICONIC Allied Health, Vision Australia, and PCYC OSHC. My practice has focused on supporting children and young people to participate fully in their home, school, and community environments. I have developed therapy resources, delivered tailored interventions, and collaborated with families, schools, and educators. I also have experience implementing the OT–AHA model to provide flexible, cost-effective services. My areas of interest include sensory processing and regulation, developmental differences, emotional regulation, and child participation in play and learning. I am passionate about early intervention and believe in working closely with children’s support systems, parents, educators, and schools, to create environments that promote inclusion and engagement. My background as a Store Manager has strengthened my leadership, organisation, and communication skills, which I now bring into my occupational therapy practice. My goal is to work as a paediatric occupational therapist supporting children and families to achieve meaningful goals and independence. I aspire to specialise in sensory integration and school participation, helping children flourish in their daily lives.
